Find inspiration in the cultural and creative hub of Berlin.
Six centuries of political, economic and cultural turbulence will do a lot to shape the personality of a city. Berlin is a historic powerhouse of reunification and gentrification that now attracts nearly 14 million people every year, despite its challenging past.
Visitors flock to the German capital for a taste of the Michelin-star-heavy culinary scene, the excess number of memorials and museums, a pumping night life and an attainable cost-effective lifestyle.
It’s no wonder it’s considered the creative capital of the world, and why we’ve landed one of our city projects right in the heart of the action for you to learn or grow your skills in travel writing and editing.
Berlin is also considered a huge technology and intellectual hub
Berlin is geographically about 9 times larger than Paris
The annual International Berlin Beer Festival, held on the first weekend in August, is the largest of its kind with over 2,400 beers
More than 100,000 students call Berlin home each year
Berlin only became the capital of Germany in 1990
Choose from TWO awesome city-based projects in Berlin, both which combine workspace learning with on-foot experiences with the help of your exclusive media pass.
Total Wanderlust is a month-long project that explores how to write, edit and photograph for travel and will see you creating a travel guide on Berlin in collaboration with your class of fellow Wanderlusters.
Intense Wanderlust is a two-week project that teaches you how to write and photograph specifically for travel blogging and will equip you with everything you need to get started or strengthen your skills as a successful blogger.
Held during the European summer, days average a mild 18 degrees Celsius – warm for German standards – and the city comes even more alive particularly with the arrival of the International Berlin Beer Festival.
The workspace is located in the city centre, close to all major attractions and in the heart of the most visited square ‘Alexanderplatz’, where it would be truly criminal not to take advantage of the main shopping district in the vicinity.
Experience Berlin for its refreshing approach to studying, living, art and technology while you develop your skills as a travel writer or blogger in this progressive, dynamic city.
